About My Nurse Life Balance

Hello! I am glad you are here! I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother and nurse. Over the years each one of these roles has changed. My Nurse Life Balance is a blog celebrating the journey!

The one constant has been a quest for wellness, and for me, that means trying to juggle all.the.things. without dropping too many balls!

My nurse life balance is a journey.

As a nurse I started as a student, worked in an ICU, taught clinicals, continued my education and became double boarded as both a FNP and PMHC. I have been a nurse novice and a nurse leader.

My favorite role is that of a wife and mommy.

I talk a little (a lot) about all the things here in my nurse life balance.

I am a daughter, sister, wife and mother navigating a career and a pandemic with a family. Life has changed this past year in ways I would have not imagined. Change happens. How I respond to the change matters. My whole life – and the lives of those I love and live life with- benefits when my response leads to balance. But that can be hard to achieve. I believe the purposeful pursuit of balance leads to wellness.

Laughter is key in my home. Through laughter hard things become less difficult, celebrations become more joyful and memories become more memorable. Being able to see the humor in life is a skill essential to my nurse life balance, and for others in I know in my profession, as well.
